Hi all. Just found the forum today and I like it alot. Somewhat new to detecting, but I get out every chance I get. One reason is I have an old home place at my disposal that dates back to the early 1900's. The best thing to date is a thin coin, maybe a token, that looks like silver. It's pretty beat up, but I can make out 'Jackson' and ' U S A' on it. Any tips on cleaning? Would like to connect with others in the area to learn and have fun detecting.

Been hitting school yards mostly. Around here they seem untouched and chock full of clad and tabs. Also have a great field to hunt in with permission to boot.:D I havent tried anywhere downtown Chatt yet , but will eventually. Pretty sure there are some great finds waiting.
Right now I am anxiously waiting for the leaves to fall so I can hit a CW location at my bosses house.
