I liked looking at the stars since I was a kid, I now have a modest 4 inch wide field reflector telescope, a 60mm refractor, and some binoculars.

The sad thing is with increasing light pollution in many areas some kids grow up rarely seeing the night sky except for a few of the brightest stars and planets and the moon.

Properly shielded outdoor lights that direct the light downward towards the ground can be a big help if more towns and cities would use it.

There are 2 street lights on my property that I fixed to make the light just go towards the ground.
