Went for a short hunt today and hit on my first gold! 14k Mens wedding band! And 510 JPY. It was a good but short hunt (1 HR before the thunder and lightning started) It was over a foot down i almost did not dig it but they say always dig a repeatable whisper in your threshold!

Lots more where that came from. Buddy of mine in Japan finds more gold on the ground on his way to go detecting than I find detecting

Congrats I haven't been hunting very long and have only found silver. Some day soon I hope to find gold also. Persistence will pay off eventually. All finds are nice just some are better than others.

Nice! Not to discourage you, but why is that ring brown with red on the bottom? Is that the lighting? If it's that color, it's not actually gold. But if it is actually gold in color with no chipping, it's likely real! Great dig either way.
