Ventured down to Siesta Key Beach today

with the wifey. We've never been there and I wanted to give it a try with the detector. Beautiful beach. nice soft white sand. I briefly talked with a couple of regulars there. They said to expect at least 10 or so guys in the water with detectors. Sure enough I didn't count them all but wholly cow there were a lot. Overall an ok day. NO GOLD! not sure about the other guys, hope they fared better than I did. Had a few thunder boomers show up and they all scattered. We stayed and in a 1/2 hour they were gone and it turned out to be a beautiful day. I found 1 titanium ring and 1 .925 silver ring along with a toe ring. So technically it was a three ring day! Lots of Bobby pins of course! Here's a couple of pics of the take.
