For some reason my ctx gives a constant low tone when moving into the wet sand. Any pointers? Found a beautiful antique guitar capo in great shape. Will bring an easy $125 on eBay

I think you have to re-ground balance for the wet....

As a capo inventor (square neck), I must see your dig, please ???

I'll even show you mine first lol....

Did you have it beach mode? I heard your not supposed to ground balance either at the beach.

Every report I have ever read about the CTX on beach hunting (after the beach update) was that the CTX was quiet as a mouse. My buddy dogpound used his on a few different beaches and loves it. My guess is you are trying to run it too hot. Make sure the the box is checked for beach hunting too.

do not manual ground balance on the beach...keep it on auto.

  • beach program with salt water on
  • set sensitivity to auto +3 or back it down to +2/+1 if it gets too chatty.
  • profit.

hope that helps...
