As a newbie I am seeking places to hunt and getting involved in research in my area, an area of deep snow and winter plowed roads. Our little town, not unlike others, has a place where they dump the snow hauled away from the main streets and this site has been used for decades. As far as is known has never been hunted, years of lost whatever dumped with the snow and once melted is available to be hunted. A suggestion to be shared with others living in the land of winter.

I have thought about that many times when the snow was melting in the parking lots this spring. There has to be a lot of stuff in there! You'd probably want a sniper coil, I imagine that there is a ton of trash.

I have hunted those places before, not real productive. But you will never know til you try.

I went to see the local 'snow dump' two weeks ago or so...place looked like moonscape. Tall piles of gravel covered snow/ice. I think it'll be july until all that snow is melted.
Oh and absolutely huge amount of trash.
