I went to a local park that had been hammered by me and everyone else under the sun tonight on a quick lunchbreak hunt. I decided to dig everything which is the way I hunt now. The last times I've been to this park I wasn't doing that. There isn't much in the way of signals at all. Mainly because people have been digging them for 40 years. I'm in right field on my first pass around the infield. I got a few zincolns.i turn and 10 feet in I get another penny signal reading 79 80 81 on my at pro at 4 to 6 inches. I figure here is another penny. Nope I was wrong. Holy smokes!!!! What a great feeling. 1830 capped bust dime in absolute rediculous condition. Silver # 19 and my oldest U.S. silver coin to date. Thanks for looking and happy hunting.

You got CAPPED man! Best damn penny I've ever seen! I would expire IMMEDIATELY if that happened...so I'm hoping to NOT find one!
What a spectacular dime, the condition is not what I'd expect from such an old coin.
Huge congrats to you sir!

Dang that is nice! That is one heck of a find! Did you look it up in the Red Book? It's gotta be worth some bucks!
