Anyone ever used a Vibra-Tector 730?

I was thinking about getting a Vibra-Tector 730 to wear my goggles and skim the shore line a bit in the water. I have a Garrett GTI 2500 but I am not sure how good it is in the water?

Has anyone tried the vibra tector 730 in the water with a snorkel??

vibra-tector 720

I made the mistake and bought a vibra-tector about two years ago,I waited until I went to Hawaii to use it.I opened the unit ,put in a new battery and off to Waikiki beach I went. I used it for 30 minutes then it quit, never worked,I contacted vibra tecktor and they said that they would be happy to fix it for $60.00 plus postag so I just put it on my shelf of useless junk that I bought over the years. My advise to anyone who wants an underwater detector--dont by this company's product. by the way I know I should have checked it out as soon as I got it,but I was working and didn't have time,besides it was new in the box 45 minutes before it broke down.

Hey, I've got a shelf like that also.

The GTI 2500 has the Salt Elimination setting, though I've never tried it yet.

Anyone ever used a Vibra-Tector 730?
