SunRay Gold Disassembly(Out of Warranty)

I have a pair of SunRay golds and the coily wire has gone intermittent right where the wire goes into the rubber grommet on the HP itself. I need to open up that headphone to repair. There must be a way but I'll be darned if I can see a seam where there could be a separation.

Has anybody disassembled one?

Yes.
Stick your fingers on the inside of the of the ear pad near the black grid over the speaker and pull.
The ear pad and plastic ring should separate from the cup. It will "snap" back into place.

Had to also replace the cable in a used Sun Ray headset. Old one was 10 -12 feet long. I used a 15 foot this time with slightly larger wires. Doing a good job for me so far.
