How to get animated gif to work on avatar?

Hi, I notice Janster has the eyeball and it works.
I attach mine as a .gif but no animation on it.
Curious how it's accomplished.

Never mind. I got it. Had to do with the size of it.

Yeah, was hoping it could have been larger but that's the biggest I can put for a gif. I like the effect of the fireworks going off on my only Merc find.
