Quick question:

I'm having fun in a double base ball park around here, picking up a few bucks in coins in the outfield area and coming up with various results as far as target ID goes.. I am still learning the sounds and ID so I dig up everything with 50% of the time being correct at pre-guessing what the target will be.. with some surprises..

One of the problems I am having is the soil composition under the grass. Most of the newly constructed parks and ball fields around here have sod laid down on top of finely crushed rocks, I guess they use that to level the surface before laying down the sod... If the coin is above that rock it comes up solid but if it's in the crushed rock zone, the TID changes and signal is very bouncy.

In this type of situation, what might be the best setting to use? I've tried the park and fields but not sure I see a difference...

Any thoughts on this?
