Unknown Ring

I found this ring in an old park that used to have a couple of baseball fields. It is very heavy but it looks like electroplate. I think I see where the electroplate is about to bubble on the inside of the shank. There is no hallmark that I can see. The ring is inscribed USSSA Champion Series. I believe the tiny stones may be CZ. Nothing to indicate they are diamonds.
