I found this the other day and was wondering what it is? I was searching the old homesite and also found a brass servent Bell, sterling belt buckle, old fork, couple of pices of different pocket watches, an old multimeter... but this one has me stumped. Each end has bolts still in them with square nuts. Also on this site I have found parts from a Ford model t. Any help? Thank you

That's a rough one, looks familiar but just can't quite nail it down. Looks like the one end is a receiver for a wooden shank of some sort and the other end allows it to float up and down. Sickle bar mowers had something on the end of the sickle bar to flip the hay back so it didn't fall over in the next swath and drag up when you made your next round. some were a round wooden piece about 1 1/4" +/_ and two foot long. this could be the hardware for this part.
