I got out for about an hour and a half to an old 1830's place I had detected a few years ago. Had only tried there once and figured there would still be some stuff left. Right by the front door to the house, I got a good signal that was only about 4 inches deep. Everything that was about 4 inches deep there was modern junk, so I was surprised to see an 1840-O Seated Half Dime (with drapery) in the bottom of my plug. My first half dime FTY! Got an 89-90 signal in the side yard of the house that was about 7 inches deep. I was hoping for a half dollar or a large cent, and I got my wish! An 1846 Braided Hair Large Cent (tall 6). Found a few relics too. A broken harmonica reed, iron horse tack buckle and spoon bowl (I'll have to do electrolysis on them eventually). Got a couple whatzits as well. I believe the round object is the top piece of an old bicycle bell. The lead object looks like a small bell and says "Landreth Phila. Trade Mark". If you have any idea on these 2 objects let me know. Thanks for checking out my finds, and HH!

That is one really sweet hunt - your half-dime is beautiful! Congrats on the large cent, too! :clapping:

Congrats. Very nice results from your hunt.

A largie and a seated in the same hunt equals awesome day. Congrats. Still looking for my first seated coin. I would give that place another try or two. Good luck Mark

Very productive hour and a half. Nice-looking half dime and large cent you can't beat that.
