Well I got my new V3i and used it in my yard to get a feel for it and I have some questions. First, I get random signals that beep once and il go back over it and it will go off again after sweeping my coil over like three times just not constant at all any idea why? Second, when I tried to detect my front yard the detector went nuts it as going off when I held it in the air just givng me tons of signals I tried to re groundbalance but it didn't help. All help is appreciated.

Sounds like EMI around you.....electric fence, power lines, underground power conduit....'....Turn down your sensitivity/RxGain....if a factory program its hot right from the box...The 10" D2 DD coil really loves EMI....very sensitive...Factory program, coin or coin/ jewelry, accepts/sounds off on most anything....
