If anyone remembers a month or two ago I found two lead scrolls in a field...really old white lead rolled up in to a tube. I'd heard of curse scrolls and that's where my imagination went straight away. Folk used to scratch curses or wishes etc on to a strip of lead and they'd roll it up and usually throw it in to a river and I found these two scrolls right next to a river. They looked very similar to one or two scrolls I found on google.
Unfortunately the museum got back to me and said they didn't think they were curse scrolls and someone on my Youtube video from when I found it said he thought they were the raw lead soldiers would use to melt down and make their own musket balls.
Well...only one way to find out now...
