I do hunt for them first. Ever since I got the 5x8 coil, quarters seem to come up easier. Helps to find spots that have never been hunted too.

When the clad is plentiful I go after the quarters first too. Gotta get them before someone else gets the chance and they add up quick. And its a great feeling when you walk away from a few hour hunt with 10 or 20 dollars worth of quarters.
