I asked in a coin forum and they about bit my head off for wanting to clean a worthless coin. So I figured I'd ask here ;-)
The coin in question was found CRH'ing. It is a 1970 Cinqo centavos and almost solid dark brown. The features are hard to see (I'll post pictures later).
It can't be worth much (it was demonetized) so how do I clean it?
Is this the best way?

- Mix 1/4 cup vinegar with 1 tsp salt
- Add tarnished coins and other brass or copper items
- Swirl the solution over the items
- Soak for about an hour
