Leaving detectors in the car.

I used to leave detectors in my trunk during the fall. One day for some reason I decided to bring my detector inside. That night my car was broken into. Luckily all I lost was a set of new headphones. I don't leave detectors in my trunk overnight any longer.

I leave them in my car all the time. Never had an issue. Dunno, maybe I'm lucky or stupid or both

while out detecting we leave the one that we are not using in the back seat of the truck. I do have very dark tinting on the back window and back side windows so that helps... I havent had an issue yet with either the V3i or ATP

It wasn't good for my V3i coils. I used to keep a detector in my Civic, extra coils. I lost the null on 2 of those coils.

Changed my ways and not lost null on one since. Anytime I pack extra coils, I insulate them. It gets really hot in a car trunk here in Texas.
