With all the rain here, spots are limited.

I visited the edge of a farm field near a river where an old house once stood.
My first find of the evening was an old clay pipe stem and I was feeling lucky.
I did not find a single coin, but I did have one penny-like signal.

This is the second piece of Old Copper Culture which I have found in this area.

Happy Hunting Everybody and Happy Memorial Day weekend!

Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!

Isn't that your third piece of CC you've found altogether?

Congrats again bro!!

<°)))>{

That's a bent piece of wire. Find those all the time. Darn false signals!

Very cool Mat! I bet copper was high tech stuff way back then. I wonder if was a disappointing loss of somebody's one and only "superhook". They probably had to go back to whittling something out of bone or wood after losing that!

That's incredible! ! Outstanding find!
Thanks

Actually, number 4, but who's counting?
Forgive my lack of knowledge, but how do you determine the age of it?
Patina, and another similar item found in the area, plus great websites
First of all I would like to say nice save on a piece of History. Also the link that you provided has caused me second guess some of the copper pieces that I find. You just never know.
Yes, you cannot throw anything away until you get it home, clean it and research it

Thanks, you have to look closely at all of this stuff
That is one cool find Mat! Thanks for that link. Lots of great information there!
Yep, thanks
WOW!

I would've figure it was junk, yikes.
Be careful, I almost pitched my first piece of old copper culture as I thought it was a drawer pull or some such thing...
