Hi, I'm new to MD.

What I have:
White's CoinMaster MD
Small shovel
Digging knife
Bucket for trash


What I need:
Decent pinpointer
Headphones

Remember, I'm still learning so I'm not looking to spend $400-$500 on this stuff. Thanks for any advice!

Garrett Pro-pointer --- but if that's out of your price, for temporary till you decide you're more into the hobby, the Cen-tech unit from Harbor Freight.

Headphones are a matter of taste. You can get a decent pair of Garrett's for around $30.
On the Pin Pointer a lot of us on here use the Pro Pointer. Gonna cost you over a $100 for a new one but worth every penny. IMHO Check with our sponsers on some good deals. Good luck!

Thanks for the info, I probably should have included this in my original post.

Budget:

Pinpointer: $100-$150
Headphone: $50-$100

Looking to spend no more than $200 total so if I spend $150 on a PP, I will have $50 for the headphones.
