OK guys. What am I missing here? Besides having a whole bunch of detector names and some talk about ground balancing, this is pretty much just a unmodified HF Centech Pinpointer...

At the current time, there are 16 bidders and the price is 36 bucks PLUS 5.99 s/h... REALLY???

I was just tripping on the price! 40+ bucks is crazy! I think with my 20% off mine was something like 15 bucks out the door from HF. Maybe this is a product of the "Diggers" movement... I'm sensing some investment opportunities! :laughing:

while that specific posting is absurd, I get a kick out of 95% of the ebay adds for metal detectors-take a look at a bunch, most of them sell at just 5-15% lower than a brand new unit.........I have no idea what these buyers are thinking......I am constantly seeing Teknetics Delta 4000's sold on ebay for around $250 bucks (includes shipping), you can buy a brand new one for $280 with free shipping...............really, save 30 bucks for a "used" detector and who knows what its been through............no thanks!

I've seen a lot of Coinmasters go for well over retail. Ebay buyers see something that looks good and don't do any research.

One thing you got to remember,tax time is upon us and alot of folks are in the spending mood and might have thought about getting into the hobby for quite sometime now,so they have extra $$$ now and see something that might be a good deal and jump on it with what was already mentioned "No research being done".Just look at all the new members we get here on a daily basis just getting into the hobby.I can almost bet by mid summer if not sooner half will be gone and then the classifieds will be full of things like already posted.Why you ask? because they find out all that glitters isn't gold.
