31" Lesche sampson: serrated or non?

This will be one of my next purchases, but would like to hear some thoughts from people that own this shovel whether to buy serrated or non-serrated. Does it make that much of a difference in roots?

Roots...small, doesn't matter, larger, get serrated.

I haven't noticed a difference in use other than the serrated has a tendency to throw a little dirt pullin out of ground. Using foot and body weight they both slice through just about anything. Get what you think will do best for your hunting. Either way one of my favorite accessories next to a good pin pointer!
