Without the numbers I'd say US army military police but...gotta dig a bit more

I still think it's mp pin. I did find couple pics of similar pins with different numbers but unfortunately the links were stale. However there is a 546th MP company and it did exist already in ww2...and at least back then some other units like rifle regiments and like had their unit number in their insignias.
