Metal Detecting and Money/New website

Nice site but for free I will just post on a forum saying I will hunt for your ring. Spending $40 a year for maybe a chance at a reward just isn't worth it for me but that is me I am a cheapskate

No problem, its not for everyone, but for some this will be a great opportunity to make some extra income and to be found.
Happy Hunting!

I agree with that

Craigslist works great for things like that

Do you, as the middle man, also make money from the unfortunate person that lost the ring for brokering the contact?

No I don't... I as the middle man I helped someone 3 thousand miles away find someone in their area to find their lost ring. The finder made the $300 reward and I made nothing but an email from the owner to thank me for finding someone for him...

I dont have a Md yet will in 2 weeks and I plan on helping the unfortunate that lost what ever it is they lost for FREE if they want to give a reward great if not also great

I alway try to help people when and where I can makes me feel good and not say "yes I can help find said item it will cost you $200 for me to even think of getting up"

I don't know if I'm not clear here...I don't charge a fee I work on a reward basis and I also give 15% to Children's Hospital for the reward money that is offered to me. My service The Ring Finders is to help the public find someone that can help them. I helped one of the guys on this forum and he made $300 for a couple of minutes. Happy Hunter and a Happy Owner!
I have someone else who contacted me and needs help to find his ring in his back yard. He is offering $200 to have it found...? I make nothing for finding someone to help him. So whats your point?

I think its a cool idea. It might be even better if you waive the fourty dollar fee to be listed on your site, and encourage the "Finders" to do it out of kindness, as many of us do!

so if I pay 39.99 a month and I get an email from you saying so and so lost a ring but there no finders fee then what ?

like I said before i'd do it for free but if im paying to use a site maybe not..

do you tell them they must charge a finders fee?????

99% of the members on The Ring Finders Directory are doing it for a reward only...They don't charge.
My goal is to make The Ring Finders Directory a household name and help the public find a metal detecting specialist in there town or city that can help them find their lost rings.

As far as waiving the $40.00...I'm sure you can appreciate that it's a business, it costs to advertise, incorporate, corporate fees every year, domain names, I have to pay my web designers and programmers to make sure everything is working...

I know that change come slowly, I also understand that in time you will see the big picture here...

I'm not ripping you off or the public...I have simply created a website where the public can find someone that can help them.

For the rest of you please take a minute before you judge and checkout The Ring Finders, see the Book of Smiles watch the videos.

Thanks,
Chris

Padlock...Its $39.99 per year not per month, You guys have to take a minute and read what this opportunity is all about. When you sign up you get your own profile page with your picture and all your contact info and you'll be listed for the public to find you. I don't negotiate for you, when you get a call for help its your deal.

The only reason I have posted for help here on this forum is because I have no member in Orange County New York.
When I get a call because there isn't a member in a certain area I try and find someone for them. I ask if they are offering a reward and they tell me, then I post it and I find someone and he makes the reward not me.

If anyone of you would like to send me your contact number I can discuss any question or concerns you may have.

Thanks all,
Chris

Can anyone tell me what happened to my last three posts?

There's three before this one...did you post more??

I think I understand what you're doing with your site.....you're just trying to help the ring owners find their lost rings.....at the same time getting the detectorists' name out there.....the $40 fee is for your service of putting up a site for them...am I correct?:D

I understand what hes trying to do but my point is that im not going to pay $40 a year to have my own page when I can go build one for my self for FREE

Thank you SueLue,

That's exactly right! Its also for the treasure hunters that want to look professional and have a chance to be found.

As we grow in numbers and people realize what an amazing service this truly is, it will only be a matter of time before this will be the #1 directory where the public will come to find a metal detecting specialist that can help them find their lost jewelry.

Thanks for taking the time to read these posts.

Best,

Great Idea

I think it's a smart and a great idea! Although there are sites like Craigslist as mentioned and the local paper for free...if this was say $20 I just might take you up on it! Good luck for sure though!!!
