Making a Straight Shaft

I'm making a straight shaft for my excal and I'm going to be doing the under forearm straight shaft with the stock 24 inch lower shaft. I'm 5'7 so would it be ok to get a 2 foot piece of aluminum tubing. Also I plan on using my arm cuff that I have on my excal now so how would I mount it using the under the forearm mounting? some pictures would be awesome

i put the controls & battery under my forearm, 2 of the holes from the controls lined up with the arm cuff so i just used slightly longer bolts ta hold it all together

on second thought i didn't use the stock arm cuff, i went with an aluminium one that had 2 holes.....thats why it was easy ta make the mod
