After spending about 45 minutes at the eroded beach, I gave up after only finding a 10c coin and decided to head to the old lawn where I found the 1919 threepence last week. 20 minutes into the hunt and out comes this 1910 silver sixpence in amazing condition. It appears I scratched it a little, which kinda sucks, but I'm glad I found it. :)

We've got a bad storm (apparently it'll be the worst storm for the year) coming our way in about 3 hours, so I hope the 5m swell (which will continue over the next two days) will stir up some goodies on the beach. Conditions are looking very good next week with a ridiculously low swell so I've got high hopes!

Very nice coin, congrats on the find! Looks like your soil is coin friendly over there.

Thanks ffgrizzley! Yes, some of the soils, like this one, seem to 'preserve' the coins! Others though...ruin the coin! But I like finding sites like these where I can expect the coins to come out in a semi-decent condition! :)
