Last night after dinner I went down the street to a friend's building that used to be a corner grocery store dating back to the 1920s. I've hunted it twice before without finding anything interesting but I thought I'd give it another try since a place like that really SHOULD have something old buried somewhere. Anyway, after digging a few pennies and bottle caps I got a bouncy signal that was hitting in the 80s intermittently so I thought, what the heck, dig it. Reached down in the hole and pulled out a small tangle of stiff wire, dang, more junk. Was about to toss it in the scrap pile when I noticed it was shiny in places. Turns out it was a bracelet with three strands of herringbone silver chain! After getting home and soaking it overnight I was able to straighten out some of the kinks. My first large silver jewelry and to cap off a good short hunt I also found a 1925 Buffalo nickel. I'll be going back!
