DIGGER27
In Memory Of
Found in a lawn where I found a 1937 British three pence coin a few weeks ago.
Been over this lawn a lot but missed this thing every time.
Today, with the Mojave, I got it.
A 1912 George V One Penny coin...H mint.
Two mints made these that year, one in London owned by the govt....48,300,000 minted there, and this one from a private mint the govt. sometimes hired to make extras when they needed a large volume.
This was called The Mint or The Heaton Mint because it was owned by the Heaton family and they were in Birmingham England.
I found it in Birmingham Ala. so fitting.
Only 16,800,000 minted there so the rarer of the two.
The best part was what was down there with it at the same 5.5 inches.
Right next to it pretty much as the same as in this pic as far as I can tell...might have actually been touching it.
This huge rusty nail.
Not the most perfect signal, a little noisy but this thing didn't disc out so I had to dig it.
Big and heavy and I love it.
