Newbie here wondering if anyone knows..

8-10" deep my ground is thick grey-blue clay and i was wondering if that will make it more difficult to find objects, false readings or in some way mess with my MD signal..etc.

any knowledge about this would be helpful.

Sorry I posted this in the general discussion area but no replies so I thought I would try this thread.

Thanks Everyone!

Wow ...I guess that's either a stupid question not worth answering or I am not the only one that doesn't know. :)

I've googled it and found nothing. Hmm I will just keep swinging along then.

Should be fine for detecting. Gray soils indicate wet or water logged soil at some point. It's called gleying and occurs when iron coating soil particles is reduced and becomes mobile and can be washed out of a soil horizon if water logging persists leaving the gray soil particles behind. It's kind of like the blue mud at the bottom of a pond. Hope it helps, bottom line shouldn't be anything to avoid.
