Every year they open up a beach on the Thames, next to the Tower of London.
To let the public explore, with people on hand to record finds.

Before they do this, the area is checked by archaeologists, volunteers, and detectorists
who are members of the Thames mudlarks.

Meat video,, Are there any coins ever found there???

There can be.
Normally you have to get either a one day or a yearly licence to hunt the
Thames foreshore, then there are limits as to where you go, and how
deep you can dig (3").

The Thames Mudlarks are a club, and work closely with the Museum of
London, they can dig deeper.
The mud tends to stop metal from corroding, so any coins found, come
out in very good condition.
