Found this today at a 1862 house. The face is squished in a little but think it's a bear maybe? Ideas ?

Its actually pretty beautiful just the way it is!...I am thinking, had I found that, I'd definitely make a lost wax mold and do a silver cast out of that item.....

Heck, its only the size of a Q thereabouts....a coupla scrap silver/gold rings and a torch and zip zap zoom!..that would make for one sweet pendant!.
