Wrote the hit song Palisades Park but better known as the man behind The Dating Game and The Newlywed Game is gone.
He had several names like "The King of Schlock" but my favorite is " "The Ayatollah of Trasherola."
My all time favorite show of his was crazy...The Gong Show, ran from 1976-1980 and for you youngsters out there that never saw this thing you missed something great...or really bad depending on how you perceive things.
I am going with great.
Always a good day when The Unknown Comic came on, lots of other early stars that went on to be famous.
A simpler time and a simple show for simple thinking people...that's why I loved it.
