Started detecting last June and am having an absolute blast. Haven't really posted anything since joining the forum so I thought I'd share a few of my more "exciting" finds from my first year including sterling rings and charms, silver coins and my first Indian Head Cent.

Excellent start! Congrats!

Thanks! The Merc was my very first silver coin and I'll never forget where and when I dug it. Of course I guess I can say that for the Washington Quarter as well :bouncie:. I coin roll hunt and find silver all the time but its not nearly as satisfying as digging it out of the ground, it's like finding a real treasure. The rings were fun too. I actually just found that heart ring last night on my in laws property, thought it was costume jewelry till I cleaned it up and found a stamp. Anyway I'm having so much fun and my 6 year old daughter wants her own machine now, looks like we're going shopping!
