I'll stay with my Vaquero.. It takes time to really learn a detector..I would say about a hundred hours to be safe, and I don't come close to that mark since I got mine in September of 08. With any luck, I'll get another five to ten hours before the season shuts down...Cordially Nad

I'm still deciding.

I can own pretty much any detector I want, so I'm doing just that. I've got my E-Trac and hope to have my V3 any day now.

I'm a "bells & whistles" kind of guy. My days of digging everything that beeps is over, other than tot lots of course. I want to know what I'm about to recover, or pass by, and I want it deep.

I wish I could get a multi tone Compadre. You didn't specifically say that the detector had to actually exist ya know

I had a Fischer CZ7 and a CZ7A. Both great machines. I LOVED those machines, but THEY loved iron. I chased a lot of nail heads with those machines.

I have an E Trac and I love it. I traded my old Explorer 2 plus cash for it. That Explorer 2 is a very, very underrated machine and can still hang with the best machines on the market today.
