I just had a week off to get my cataracts removed & new lenses inserted. I can't believe the new difference .. it's just incredible.
So my first day out with my "new eyes" today, hit the beach and spotted a new wash-out .. it was approx. 60 meters long and about 2 meters wide.
I immediately started scoring coins, a couple of pennies,2 threepence's and a sixpence.
But my prize of the day was this beautiful rose gold diamond and emerald ring.
Hallmarked 22ct, with a Birmingham anchor and the date letter for 1888/89 .. I just love seeing those old English hallmarks.

Gorgeous ring!

On another note, congrats on the new lenses but I thought you was suppose to avoid bright lights for awhile afterwards?

Either way congrats on both!

:dingding: Beautiful ring! It's a good thing you got your eyes fixed otherwise you may've not seen the washout.

Congrats Meggie on the beautiful ring! And glad the surgery worked out, from the sounds of it you have the eyes of an eagle now ;) I'm always amazed at the consistency you find gold. Great job

:wow2: That’s in gr8 shape for 188X.

Nice save!
