Civil War Eagle cuff ???

Came across this button today while metal detecting in a field here in northwest Ohio. We have found other items on the property they were obviously Civil War era.
There is no back marks on this cuff button. So the question is Civil War or post Civil War. Thank you for your assistance.

Thank you very much for your response. I was pretty excited to find this. A month ago I had found another one but it had gotten crushed.

I would like to trace the property owners back to the Civil War time and slightly after that and see if I can find any military information on where this person may have served during the war.
