A buddy and I decided to take our equinox’s with the 15” coil to a park that’s been hunted for many years. They did some work on a small portion of it a few months ago and we were pulling out a good amount of coins from there so we decided to see what the rest would hold. By the results, I’m extremely happy. 3 of the barbers were in the same hole and were mixed in with iron. The button is a fire department one, and the ring is an Avon sterling ring. My favorite find of the day is the 1851 half dime! It’s my first and I was thrilled to find it. My buddy also found 6 silvers there. The large cent was found at a spot we went to afterwards before rain came.

:wow2: What an incredible hunt! Congrats on the old coinage, silver ring, and fire department button. :cool3:

Wow, terrific finds for a hard hunted park! The rural areas in the midwest where I hunt that would be considered virgin territory. Wish I could find a half dime. Congrats on a super hunt.

Wow! That’s a lot of really nice old coins for sure,Congrats...Would you say the nox stock coil wouldn’t have found them? I mean, where they so deep the bigger coil detected them better?

It really depends. Not all the targets were super deep. There was a ton of iron and nails so the stock coil would have probably separated better. But the big coil was really helpful in hearing the squeakers. We will probably try the stock coils next time we go

Some very stellar digging. Congrats in the Seated Half Dime the Barber and Merc Dimes, the Indian's along with the Large Cent. A very complete hunt indeed, I'm in awe. Trapper
