My wife got me an awesome birthday present the new Garrett Pinpointer AT. Going to get out this Friday and give it a try.

Also I would either dip the tip or what I did was cover it in gorilla tape. But the plastic on these aren't as rugged as the black ones and wear down easy. There's a thread on here somewhere about it. But I agree best one money can buy I love the vibrate only feature. Congrats and good luck friday!
