Cleaning A simple quarter

I have an old quarter here form 1988, and it is kind of rusted. I would like to clean it up.

Which way would be the quickest and most effective way of making this coin shiny again?

If it is rusted, truly rusted, it will never be shiny again. It's not silver so about all you will get out of it is a dull gray. Putting it in a tumbler for about 8 hours with aquarium gravel and a little soap will get the rust off. Then you could just use a buffing wheel and take the rust off since it only one coin.

Thanks, but sadly I don't have a tumbler

I am trying to make on though.
