Ground walnut shells in the tumbler?

Bah, that was obviously just a lucky guess!

But yeah, that's what I'm referring to: http://metaldetectingforum.com/album.php?albumid=542&pictureid=19560

Gawd, they sound like the AKC!

No matter. I love my slightly less than sterling silver busty babe whether she has a pedigree or not!!

Gorgeous coin!

I'd gamble the cost of having it certified.

And yes, they can be like the AKC. Especially if you are trying to get a new variety recognized. Having a population of a few dozen of an error doesn't qualify in their eyes. It almost has to be a difference between dies to become a new variety.

BTW, I have heard the same about the Indians boring holes in coins.

Used them in both the tumbler and a vibratory.
A bit dusty, better for cleaning relic's than clad.

Soap and water with crushed gravel's best for cleaning.
I use corn cob to put a shine-on, tumbled or vibatory.

Create a sifting and rinsing system with bowls with holes.
The trick is rinsing the water often, clean-n-shiney clads cool.

Is there a certain source you get your corn cobs? We have a garden, but the ears of corn have a long way to go! ;)

The Corncob I use is a Hi-lighter mix.
A special mix for shining things in a vibratory.
This isn't a Brass Casing Reloading Cleaning Mix.
I'm sorry, I didn't know you guys didn't understand.

Consult your local Metal Refinishing Company.
They have huge tumblers and vibratory's.
Probally give you a bag full, if you tell them your purpose.
I have even purchased some of there other special mixes.
Sorry about misunderstanding, corncobs won't fit my tumber either.
