Need to buy a new hunting trash/tool pouch but decided to wait until after Christmas to avoid any shipping hassles, some of the post office people in my area sometimes have trouble reading addresses and delivering packages to the correct homes during normal times.
Don't think I will have any trouble paying for the thing after this.

Here is how it all went down if you want to read this novel...

We hit Shoneys before parking at the casino, got there about 4:00 and got our room.
Usually I get a free one but we hadn't been there for a few months so I only got a discounted rate instead.
Had to pay $89 this time which I wasn't thrilled about but the wife had plans to visit her son in California for the holidays and those plans fell through and she was sad so I knew she enjoys staying there in those nice rooms as a break from life and I said what the heck, worth it to pay to make her happy.
Plus we both love the buffet.
If I lose in the casino I always win when we hit that place.

She stayed up in the room to take a nap on the very comfy beds they have and I went down to the casino.
I had $10 in free play they gave me and the first machine I sat down at I used 50 cents of that money and on the very first spin I won $53...I hoped this meant it was going to be a lucky trip but little did I know what was in store for me later.
By midnight I was down about $200 which isn't bad, great actually, considering I was playing for about 8 hours straight by that time.
I was thinking about quitting and going to bed, I had lost enough, but I checked my acct.to see if I had any extra free play for all the money I had played and noticed I had $100 in promotional money the casino had dumped in there I didn't realize I had.
Lucky event #2.
From 6-9 pm every half hour they gave $100 in free play to a few players, I won one of those prizes but didn't notice till I checked my acct.
That $100 started a small winning streak.
I was playing the very popular Dragon Spin and dumped the whole thing in there.
I worked that machine like a job for about an hour and a half, hit a bunch of bonuses and eventually got it up to $700.
Went down to about $632 and I was done.
Won my money back and more, had hours of fun so at 1:30 am it was time to go to bed.
On the way back to our room I noticed and stopped at one machine I like...Fu Nan Fu Nu.
5 different bets from 88 cents up to $8.80 with multipliers at 1-2-3-4 and 5 as you move up
I rarely go over the 88 cent minimum bet on this thing but splurged and spent more just to get rid of the $32, (or win), and then get to bed... $3.52...a 3x's multiplier bet.
Sat next to a nice old guy playing the same machine talking while we played.
Won some, lost some and got down to near that $600 mark when a dragon flew across the screen then the machine flashed "LUCK HAS ARRIVED" which means I was about to win either free games or a big line hit... it was a huge line hit.
Coin shows and fireworks flashing and going off all over the screen.
I looked at the little line on the bottom of the screen that tells you your winning total as the machine is adding up and I swear I see 44616 on this 1 cent slot between all the fireworks, $446.16 I thought and I was much more than just happy.
The old guy next to me laughed and said look again.
The number was actually 44616000... $4461.60.
I think I fell off my chair at that point.
I know I started to laugh as a crowd gathered around me.
About $5,000 in winnings between the last two machines using free money they gave me...what is better than that?
Just thrilling, now I wonder how much an $8.80 5x's bet would have won, don't even want to do the math.
Trust me, I have absolutely no regrets.

They paid me in mostly a check but I also got a little extra playing cash and also something else...an entry ticket for a special drawing they are going to have next month only for recent jackpot winners.
One ticket will be picked from a big drum and they award the winner another $15,000.
Gotta be present to win so guess where I will be on that day to see if this lucky streak still continues?

I had a real great Christmas...hope y'all did too!

Nice!
I hit a $500 scratcher once.
I had 5 out of 6 numbers on the Fla. lotto one time too, if my brother was born on November 32 instead of November 28 I would have won 4.5 million instead of $8,800.
I had 4 out of the first 5 of the first numbers on a Megamillion ticket one time also...I was one number away from that last, correct, number.
Would have won a million bucks if I got that last one right.

Luck for me runs in streaks, in life and when I go out and hunt.
Gotta take advantage of it when it shows up.

Wow man, GREAT hit! I have not played the slots successfully in a looooooong time.

They don't build those opulent places on winners for sure.
Slots are a bad bet but they still can be so much fun because you never know.
This time I beat them but next time who knows.

I sat next to a lady that hit a jackpot for $11,000 on a $2.00 bet on Christmas morning.
Got every Quick Hit symbol you could get on a five line game.

She freaked out and started screaming she won eleven thousand dollars loudly and wouldn't stop.
Several of us tried to tell her to quiet down, not everyone in a casino is going to be happy for her and there are definitely several predators that hang out in that kind of place.
She was kind of loud when she was giving all her info to the attendant that was processing her win.
I was right next to her and I overheard her name, address and social security number very clearly.
If I was another kind of person I could probably have messed her life up pretty good if I had a mind to.

That’s a lot of do re me,,Congrats on the hit..what are you gonna buy.lol..

My wife says I should buy something nice for myself but there really isn't anything I really need except a new hunting pouch.
Got my Mojave, an F70 with 5 coils, a Nox with two coils plus diggers and pinpointers.
In my real life I can't think of anything I really need right now, either.
Maybe some nice vape stuff and recently I started getting into writing with fountain pens so I might splurge and get a nice one and some quality ink but we will see.

My wife mentioned she would like either a pair of gold hoop earrings or a small gold mother's ring for Christmas and we were waiting for after Christmas because we have a friend that works in a pawn shop that has both...but she wasn't there before Christmas much due to health issues.
She is back now so we will take a trip there soon and look around.
Something tells me the wife is going to get two nice presents for Christmas 2018.

That's really fun hitting one that big! I've seen it happen to many other people, but never for me. I only play slots a couple times a year. I did have my best hit ever this year, but yours is really over the top! I usually grind out five or six hours at the poker tables if I hit a casino. 2/5 No Limit Hold'em. My last session was good! Bought in $200 and took this stack home.

Here's to a lucky year in 2019 (In and out of the casinos) for everyone.

Thanks for posting. Loved the play by play.

Cooool...you get where I'm coming from.
In casinos slots are a sucker bet most of the time but not all the time if luck comes your way.
The smart play is craps, blackjack if you understand the best time to hit, split or stay, or poker.
Especially poker if you are good at it.
You can lose at all those too but you can minimize your losses with smart play and betting and maximize your success with skilled play.
You evidently get poker and are smart enough to know that.
Me, I do okay at 21 but I would lose my shirt in 10 minutes at any poker table.

This is an Indian casino in Alabama so no table games and only class II bingo slots here but evidently they still pay out pretty good from time to time.

Nicely done! That's a decent sum of money!

The other week I found one of those $1 scratchies on my front lawn, don't know what it was doing there, someone must've lost it. :?: I've never played a ticket before, so didn't really know what I was doing lol. That $1 ticket turned out to be a $2 winner  First scratchie I've played turned out to be a winner   Got it cashed in, and decided, heck, why not get two more scratchies with the $2 I'd just won. Maybe start some sort of investment? One of the tickets I had bought was a winner for another $1 ticket...so I guess the fun continues
