Can I just have a bank get me $1000.00 dollars in dimes or halfs and save the time of going bank to bank?

Yep, you can normally order what you want and they will order it in.

I wouldn,t even mess with dimes. But they would order the halves for you.

Halves are $500 a box,dimes are $250 a box.I would do halves.And dump what you don't need at a differnt bank.GOOD LUCK!!!!

Maybe and maybe not. Some banks are willing to order for customers and some won't. I coin roll hunt and only one of my banks I have accounts at will do so. That is the best way to do it though. Halves are the best, but dimes are next on the list. Forget quarters. Rarely is one to be found in the wild. Check out "Coin Roll Hunting" on Treasurenet.com.
