I know I have posted this before but here are better and more pictures. From the last post some one suggested it may be from the scottish fife and forfar

It was found in an area very close to Fort Oglethorpe where the Fighting 6th Cavalry and the Women's Army Corp (WACS). Also there was a German POW camp located very near here as well.
I know that it could be a replica but I have also found Army uniform buttons in the same area that I know are original.
As you can see it has a clip at the top, almost like it had a ribbon attached at sometime. The Medal or Medallion is about 3 inches wide.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
