are these civil war relics?

posted these on the help me ID forum but haven't got conclusive results..the site has produced coins and relics from the mid to late 1800's but it is not an encampment or battleground..the star is silver and appears to be pressed from a piece of sheet stock..no backmarks..button type loop..the bugle or french horn is brass and made in two pieces..

Bugle is in the same pattern as infantry insignia of the day, but it's construction doesn't ring a bell for me.
