I went back to one of my childhood haunts a couple days ago. Trying to remember where people used to sit near the lake in the 1950s however wasn’t so easy! My results for the day was 11 wheat cents ranging from a 1930-D to 1958-D. Later in the day I located a 1919-D Mercury Dime and a 1945-S Washington quarter.....my 1st silver quarter since 1984, although 30 years of that was spent in Alaska where all I had to detect were gold nuggets. ! I also found a small diamond earring! My Minelab Equinox 800 didn’t let me down, although I spent 11 1/2 hours detecting! I’m certainly paying for it today with some sore muscles!

One heck of a long wait between Silver Quarters Goldy. Congrats on the Merc and the Quarter. Get healed up because there is more out there waiting for you to put your coil over it. Trapper

Feeling much better now Trapper. I didnt take the 800 for a swim today, dont have underwater headphones. I dunked it last time though & it did well! Gotta find enough clad to pay for underwater headphones!

Wow, nice squirrel. I'm jealous. I've never found a squirrel before. How deep was it ? :cool3:

That darn chipmunk was almost 1.5 feet deep, as it ran down a deep hole! Those critters are everywhere up there!

Congratulations on the long-awaited silver quarter! :woot: Thanks for sharing the critter pic, too - that brings a smile! :D
