Hey everyone, this is a mix of finds from the last few hunts. Two hunts were at a different wooded park, and produced the two barbers, 3 injuns, 3 wheats and an 1812 large cent. Today's hunt was back at barber park, this time equipped with the obsolete explorer SE with the 6" coiltek. Went over the same ground as previous hunts, this time sticking closer to bushes and trees. It wasnt long til I hit a few wheats, then a merc, then an injun... Finally right up against a log, I get a surface quarter signal (obviously assuming it was clad) I didnt need to dig a plug, the carrot reached it from the surface, and a 1964 Washington pops out. Rescan, a 1964 Rosie, rescan, and finally, another 1964 Washington. Added a war nickel shortly after for a 5 silver day, to put me at #40 FTY. Been a LONG time since I've dug 5 silver coins, and unless I find more spills, it will probably be awhile until I see another 5 silver day. Really been digging mid tones like crazy, looking for that nice old gold that I know is in there. I find it hard to believe all these coins are around, and there's no jewelry...might hit a park tomorrow, could be the same one, might be a different one, might not even go out! Been hot as hell up here, and humid to make it worse. Will keep you all updated thanks for looking, and happy hunting!

Congrats on a great day! Sure has been hot here been out a few times and yesterday a friend and I scouted a new area (to us) in the Berkshire’s, lots of bugs and some stone walls but no foundation we saw. Next step is trying to get permission to dig.

Wow! Jeff your on a very nice run. Some super hunting, congrats on a 2 Barber day then a follow up 5 Silver outing. Very impressive indeed. That's without mentioning the Indian's, the Large Cent, the wheat's and all the rest. Trapper
