I was fortunate today to be able to go to an old farm property with two other forum members from here. We stayed for around 5 hours total. Here's some pics and comments. Please feel free to add any comments or insight on any of the items. I look forward to going back and hitting it even harder.
Edit to add- for some reason, photobucket chooses to turn some of the pictures sideways even though they appear correctly when I view them in Photobucket.

The pile dumped straight out after getting home.

The "keepers". Any ideas on identification of the large square thin copper piece to the left? Also, what is the piece towards the upper right that looks like some sort of latch or hook?

Keepers cleaned up.

Two large flat buttons. The large one has a dot and star pattern going in a circle on it. Headstamps, butterfly hair clip (not silver), a small rivet, and a tube of red lipstick with some leftover.

Headstamps- all 12 gauge. Top L-R is Robin Hood, Federal Monark, Eley-Kynoch(has a small circle with ICI in it). Bottom L-R is Winchester Repeater, UMC. Co Club, UMC Co. Challenge
Turtlefoot- do you have any info on the Eley-Kynoch?

My coins for the day: 3 zincs, 2 copper pennies, 3 Nickels (1954, 1954, 1941), 7 Wheats (1910, 1912, 1920, 1923, 1940, 1944, 1944). While I didn't get any silvers, one of my fellow hunters did, but I'll let him post about that if he chooses.

Old lipstick tube and hair butterly. Bottom of lipstick tube is stamped Botany Distributors Passaic, NJ. I think this may be from the late 40's, but I couldn't find any info about them.

It was great to get out with my two detecting buddies from the forum here. Can't wait to get back out to the spot with them again. Here are my better finds of the day: 1900 Barbara Quarter, Standing Liberty Quarter, Indian Head Pennies 1902, 1879. -Jeremy

You guys were tearing it up! Nice finds. I really like the Barber quarter -- found a nice 1906 Barber dime this weekend so that one caught my attention. Let's go hunting sometime!

I think that the flat square brass piece is from a weather barometer device. The two openings that are side-by-side make me think of the kind where the two little figures go in and out of the door, like this one:

I didn't make it home with the Civil War button I found and showed to you. It wasn't in my bag when I emptied it out. I must have dropped it after showing you. We'll have to take a quick scan of that area again and try to refind it. I guess it can be fun twice!

Oh man! I was just thinking about that button this afternoon and was going to ask you how it cleaned up! We can certainly find that again I am sure. Took a shot of my other pieces from the day.

-2 Ringer Civil War Bullet(Almost looks like teeth marks on it?) , WW2 Japanese Showa Aluminum Coin??? (Weird I know ), 1916 Canadian Penny, 1945 Jefferson Nickel, Wheat Pennies (1910, 1916, 1936, 1944, 1945, 1957, 1958)
