I would say get the 705 because if you get the gold pack it comes with the DD coil which is really nice in trashy areas I have found a lot of coins right next to foil and soda cans and pull tabs and knew there was a coin in there. The 705 can have a tone for each one of its segments which will come in handy when you get that iron sound next to a nickel sound or even in the same hole.
The noice cancelling and ground tracking is something that no detector in this price range has and I have to tell you that once you put on the trackign you wont take it off.
Also the 705 has 3 frequencies it can work on the 3khz which will go deep and read well on silver. The 7.5 khz which will give you a even play field for all metals and the 18.75 khz will hit on the smallest of gold targets. Like the AT Pro /Gold you can do everything on the screen from your thumb I would even say the screen is more simple to use then the AT's because it only has a few buttons
