Now I'm going to bed, you all can fight it out all night and ill read it in the morning im sure. :lol: By the look of the votes I'm guessing the new rep status isnt gonna be staying. Kinda a bummer, I think we should atleast try it out for a month and see.

I guess so. I really hate all the negative feedback on this. It was here for a day...how do ppl know it would have been a bad thing? I think this just discourages the owners and admins from trying anything else new again. But apparently i am a minority on this so whatever. :(
 
:lol: Just seen all the green squares by our names..LOL! Put green squares next to ppl names for every time they donate..that'll show the ppl who care enough to support this site!
 
We don't need it. Its not even a fair system.

A video game forum I use just removed their rep system because friends would boost each others rep for no reason but they are friends on the forum.

And wow my dell monitor is committing suicide as i write this. Just great.

I'm thinking we could do something with custom user titles.

You have a special slogan, or name or something jersey?

yeah, that's it! If you can't go any higher than Elite member, how about a custom title?
 
I don't mean like the rep points thing that you tried, but a 1-5 star rating on each post.

This rating would not have any attribution to the contributor.
 
Nah, wouldn't work..... Well, it might work, but I haven't ever seen a script for to rate each individual post.

I have seen a forum that had a "Thank You" script. it was kind of cool.

Like if someone made a great post, then you would click a button and it would say "Detecto thanks you for making this post." or something like that.

Ever seen it?

The thanks thing is something else you could look into. People could thank each other if they get a helpful post from someone.

Hahaha... Maybe after the holiday is over. My brain is on overload right now.

First I'd have to find out if it's even compatible with this version of VB.

Then I'd have to talk Vlad into installing it.

How come you changed your delicious hamburger avatar? That looked so yummy, I made some for supper. :lol:
